WWF Nepal provides Rs 10m to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund

KATHMANDU: WWF Nepal has provided Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support government emergency operations following severe monsoon flooding and landslides in Rasuwa and neighbouring districts on August 26.

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle received the monetary contribution during an official event organised at the Ministry of Finance on August 28.

The conservation organisation joined a wide collection of private sector enterprises, financial institutions, and corporate leaders that collectively handed over more than Rs 385 million in aid during a single day.

Official records indicate that funds accumulated in the government account will support ongoing search activities, emergency aid distribution, and long-term recovery for devastated communities across affected areas.
